Which of the following classes would be of interest to you at PraXis for Fall 2022?

1. Fundamentals of the Michael Chekhov Technique: weekly 3-hour class solely focused on the introduction and exploration of Chekhov’s exercises. Limited text work.

2. Memorized Scene Study: 3-4 hour weekly class solely focused on approaches to scene work where the student brings in fully memorized and rehearsed scenes each time they work. All text work.

3. Active Analysis Scene Study: 3-4 hour weekly scene class using Stanislavski’s exploratory rehearsal technique of etudes as well as other psychophysical exercises. Text work and etudes in service of scenes.

4. Hybrid Chekhov/Active Analysis Scene Study: A hybrid of #1 and #3. Weekly 3-4 hour blend of the two approaches. Half the class is focused on Chekhov's psychophysical and imagination exercises while the second half of class is putting up scene work via Stanislavski’s Active Analysis. (Like the spring ’22 technique class)

5. Weekly Psychophysical Training: a weekly 3-hour physical and imagination actor's workout, using approaches from Michael Chekhov, David Zinder, Imageworks, Dangerworks, etc. Little to no text work.

6. Psychophysical Approaches to Shakespeare: weekly 3-hour Shakespeare jam using a variety of psychophysical techniques as applied to Shakespeare’s text (mostly monologues; scenes if time permitting)

7. Psychophysical Approaches to Shakespeare: a one weekend 12-hour workshop spread over two days.
